Default Day Three - Gift Box with treasure

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me………..umm….well the French hens have flown the coup, sorry , but I do have a magnet and gift box to get your creativity flowing.

Items required:

2 x double sided patterned papers. You could use single sided paper, but some of the white side may show through once finished.
Scrap cardboard to make your own magnet base or a 2-3” chipboard shape for the base.
Magnetic tape or pieces
Christmas embellishments
Double sided tape
Bone scorer
Ink
Bling

Twist: Make your treasure for inside your box any shape, but square!

PS: I am happy if decide to make your treasure as an ornament or photo frame as alternatives.

Step One:
Cut PP one to a 10 ½” x 10 ½” square. (lid) (choose Favorite paper)
Cut PP two to a 10” x 10” square (base)

Step Two:
Repeat the following steps for both pieces of PP.

Fold your paper diagonally to create a triangle and then unfold.
Repeat for other diagonal line.

Step Two:
Now fold each piece in half to a form a rectangle and then unfold.

Step Three:
Fold each point of the squares to the centre point of your PP’s.
Gentle score these folds

Step Four:
Fold 2 opposite sides into the middle and then unfold.

Step Five:
Fold other 2 parallel sides into the centre, gently score.
Leave these 2 sides up and unfold the 2 ends completely

Step Six:

Fold those 2 ends back in following crease lines.

Step Seven:
Use small amount of double sided tape to secure the points within each box.

Step Eight:

Your magnet can be a pre-made chipboard shape or you can use scrap cardboard to create your own shape. Cut your shape out twice and create a small frame.
Cover your chipboard with matching pp’s and ink edges.
Decorate as desired.

Step Nine:
Ink the edges of your box and magnet
And start decorating to your hearts content

By completing this project you will earn one draw for the chance at a full kit that we will be drawing for. If you added the "twist" to your project, you will earn 2 draws!

We would love to see your creation linked in this thread, but be sure to link it in your official sign in thread...that's where we'll be looking!
