Carrie is the owner of Scrapdango.  She began scrapbooking about 10 years ago.  Like so many scrapbookers, when a friend introduced her to scrapbooking she was immediately hooked!  Because she is also a professional photographer focusing on wedding and senior portrait work in Portland area of Oregon, she had finally found the missing link - scrapbooking was the creative outlet that allowed her show off her great photography and express herself creatively.  She spent many years working in business development and mangement.  She had no idea how valuable her career experience and her passion for scrapbooking would be until years later.  In 2005, it was clear that her special needs daughter with ASD and AS could no longer function in the public school system or childcare.  She had to make significant life changes, many that were quite painful.  However, she decided to view her circumstances as an opportunity for growth. She donated her expensive office wardrobe and turned her business experience and passion for scrapbooking into a business and a way of life.  You can't read the journaling on Carrie's layout but it is important, so here it is:
So much I have experienced in my life.  When my time comes and I leave this earth, there are these few important truths that I hold dear.
Our dreams can come true - if we have the courage to pursue them.
Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be.
A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world.  It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.

this is who I am

Hi!  My name is Julie and I have been scrapping for about 10 years now.  I love to scrapbook my family.  I have been married to my best friend, Don, for almost 10 years now. We have a four year old daughter named Sydnee and a five month old daughter named Shay.  We also have a Saint Bernard named Sadie.  Of course, I scrap the "big" moments, but I mainly just scrap those special everyday moments.  My family is the main reason I scrap and they are the main subjects of my layouts.  I also have a Book of Me album, a garden album and a recipe album that I like to work in.  I am a fifth grade teacher by profession with my summers off.  I have been published in Creative Cards Vol 4, Blueprints book, PaperArts, Cantata, and upcoming in MemoryMania book.  I am super excited to be working with the fabulous kits at Scrapdango!

Hi, I am Dana DiGennaro and I admit it...I am an addicted scrapbooker.  I have been involved in many crafts during my life, but I found my true passion when I started scrapbooking after the birth of my first child.  I try to make time to do some sort of paper craft everyday.  I would call my style bright and busy, always lots of fun.  I have had layouts and cards published in many scrapbook magazines and I am thrilled to be a member of the design team here at Scrapdango.  I am a stay-at-home Mom of two beautiful school-aged daughters, who are almost always the subjects of my scrapbook pages.  I have been married 12 years to my sweet husband, Dave.  I am a professional flutist and teach private flute lessons in my home.  I also perform locally in New York with various organizations.

Hi. I’m Lisa Turley & live in Virginia with my husband, Jerry, and daughter, Danielle. We also have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 12 chickens & 6 guineas. I am a registered nurse by profession but currently staying at home with my daughter & homeschooling. I have been scrapping for about 11 years. My favorite scrapping supplies are patterned paper, chipboard & clear stamps. I am on the Zsiage design team & have been fortunate to have had my layouts featured in numerous scrapbook publications. I’ve also taught classes at local scrapbook stores, scrapbook retreats & conventions. In addition to scrapbooking, I love photography, nature, animals, spending time with family, camping & hiking. My favorite food - Mexican, favorite drink - Diet Dr. Pepper, favorite book – anything by Max Lucado, favorite colors – green. I love the ScrapDango kits & was thrilled to have the opportunity to be a guest designer. Hope you have as much fun playing with this month’s kit as I did.

Hi!  My name is Naureen and I have been married to my husband for 3 years.  We have a two year old son who is the love and joy of our life.  When I am not scrapbooking, I am a third grade teacher and I love my job!  Working with children is such a joy!  I have been scrapbooking for seven years.  I scrap in 12x12, 8X8 and 6X12.  I also love making cards and mini-albulms.  My infatuation lies in altered art - I love being able to take something from the plain and boring to the magnificent and wonderful.  Most of all, I love displaying my altered art around the house and giving it to friends as gifts.  I am truly a scrapaholic and if I didn't have to work I would spend all my time scrapping.  I am so excited to be a part of the Scrapdango Design Team!
